Canteen volunteers!

The canteen needs people to help out during game days. The Canteen Coordinators have kids playing also, if there is no one to help out in the canteen it may mean only drinks will be available at the ground for the day, If your kids team is warming up please consider helping out in the canteen until the game starts, or please hang round for a while after the game, remember funds raised go back to the participants.

Chocolate fundraising

Thank you to everyone who has returned their chocolate fundraising money. If you haven't handed in your money yet please return it to the canteen before November, the Club hopes to raise over $1000 which is a great help towards end of year trophies.

Website updates

The website is being updated all the time, new areas have been added for Coaches, as well as team information. Click through the navigation panel on the left of the website to see all the new information added.

Hi All,

The days are getting longer and the weather is heating up which can only mean the summer baseball season is well underway. The Club has teams in almost all age groups with two teams in joint ventures with other clubs to allow kids to get on the park.

Club pre-season training was a lot of fun. It was great to see age groups mixing together getting to know other kids within the Club. Thanks to all the coaches and parents for joining in.

Volunteers aren't necessarily parents but quite often people who have a love of the sport so thanks to Michael Wilcox and George Ward for helping out during these training sessions. (Michael also lent a hand during the U12s gala day.)

The canteen has been open during training which is proving quite successful if you are interested in what's available for dinner check out the ad on the website. Dinner items can be ordered by calling the Canteen Coordinator. Details are on the website.

Go the Blues!

U12 Gala Day

The U12s Gala Day was extremely successful with 10 teams playing 15 games of baseball over 5 diamonds at PvH. It was a great development day not only for the kids but also umpires, coaches and scorers.

U7s is so much fun

It's easy to remember what sport is all about when watching the U7s. Everyone gets involved, coaches, parents and of course the kids. There is no need for umpires it's all about having fun which is always on the cards with some of our kids mixing up their sports with a tackle behind second base to get the ball, leaving spectators roaring with laughter.

The kids don't always remember which way to run or care which team they are on. One team borrowing three of our players, (only 6 on the field with Aussie T-ball). Every part of the game is done with such gusto it reminds you how simple and fun sport should actually be.

Our kids are like wet cement!

The way we speak and relate to umpires, coaches and other players leaves a lasting impression on our kids. As parents, we preach manners, sharing and team spirit but from time to time can forget these simple rules ourselves, remember kids play sport for their enjoyment not ours. ASC code of Ethics can be viewed here.

Seniors won Grand Final

Congratulations to the winter senior team. Not only taking out Minor Premiers but also the Premiership for sixth division. Well done guys and gals!

We want your stories

Parents/Coaches send stories or information to put on the website about your games, we all want to hear how the kids are progressing and enjoying their games. Send to webadmin. Stories can be read here.

The best seat in the house!

Every week a large group of parents and other individuals volunteer their time to ensure our children can enjoy a game of baseball. This means some parents may not see their own children participate but they give their time for the benefit of all.

The Club would like to build this volunteer resource by offering training for any parents interested in learning to score, coach or umpire games. These are the best seats in the house.

Please contact the Secretary on 0414 871 808 if you are interested.
